The consensus seems to be that yellow represents happy.
Before I started painting, I admit to not really being too aware consciously of this or indeed the significance of any colour other than a liking or an association with it's use. That is one of the real pleasures of becoming a painter. An appreciation of not only yellow but all the colours that nature provides us with. I can see them now, I've tuned in. My painting on the left 'Path to Yellow' was the first to feature yellow when I moved to the Cotswolds. It remains close to my heart as it represents that awakening in me, that light at the end of the tunnel moment. I'm still jogging down that path now... and I always will love yellow.
